Work created in silence, over the noises of the studio.
THX1138 is George Lucas's debut film. Made in 1971, the film depicts a dystopian future where society is forced to consume drugs that suppress emotions.
This work shows a flower that struggles, like the protagonist of the film, between a life full of uncertainty and color and a world without emotions but without uncertainties and surprises.
In a way, the film and the play speak of risk-taking, of control, ultimately of what Morgan Freeman says in another great film, "The Shawshank Redemption"... "determining whether to die or to live."
Sides painted in black.
