Artist profile
Visual artist from Alicante
"In my creative process I try to connect with my most primitive brain, not to think or at least not to work with very elaborate thoughts, to work with gesture, with intuition and with the music I listen to.
Uncertainty in our personal lives and in the world is what drives me to paint, and to do so through a process also dominated by uncertainty about the outcome.
My training as a Biologist gives me an evolutionary vision of the natural world and of human beings that I transfer to my works, but from a lyrical point of view, without science, looking for what is not clear, what we perceive but cannot explain, what slips through our fingers.
The paintings of Chauvet, Altamira, or Pla de Petracos. Darwin and the evolution of species. Human evolution from the first hominids to Homo sapiens. Science fiction films that present future worlds (2001: A Space Odyssey, Dune...) all of that is in my works in some way, and it is reflected on canvases that look like any wall in a modern city, with stains, marks, advertising, graffiti.
I paint with a faraway look, letting things happen, accepting them. I try
to understand a world that is always modern and old, without giving explanations, only with paint.
Visual artist from Alicante,
In my creative process I try to connect with my most primitive brain. Not thinking or at least not working with very elaborate thoughts. I work with the gesture, with my intuition and with the music I listen to.
Uncertainty in our personal lives and in the world is what leads me to paint and to do so through a process also dominated by uncertainty about the result.
My training as a Biologist gives me an evolutionary vision of the natural world and the human being that I transfer to my works, but from a lyrical point of view, without science, looking for what is not clear, what we perceive but cannot explain, what It slips through our fingers.

Science fiction cinema that proposes future worlds (2001: a space odyssey, Dune...) all of this is in my works in some way, and is captured on canvases that look like any wall of a modern city, with stains, brands, advertising, graffiti.
I paint with a lost gaze, letting things happen, accepting them. I try to
understand a world that is always modern and old, without giving explanations, only with painting.
