My work is built in multiple layers; the new covers the old, but a trace always remains.
The gestural and intuitive painting, which comes from the deepest part of the work to the surface, has a parallel, from the author's point of view, with human evolution and natural selection.
The new builds on the old, we adapt to the environment and move forward; everything disappears but leaves its legacy in our genetics and in our culture.
The colors and stains have certain reminiscences of cave paintings.
