A painting created through free improvisation. Action painting with music by Johann Sebastian Bach. A matrix of pinks, ochres, and yellows is created, with multiple layers, lines, and stains. Marks and symbols in blues, reds, and blacks appear on top of this matrix. Finally, a greenish-gray overlay layer reveals only some of the elements, unifying the whole.
I use brushes, spatulas, spray bottles, bottles, a watermark sprayer, a hairdryer… The artwork conceals everyday stories that leave their mark on city walls. They are urban traces, marks of the passage of time, overlapping one another and almost disappearing, yet together they leave a collective trace of life's journey in the city.
