Work inspired by a macroschematic cave painting found in the Barranc de L'infern (Vall de L'Aguar - Alicante). Action painting with music by John Frusciante.

The original figure has a strange form, quite different from other paintings of the same period and context. The painting offers a free interpretation of this figure, taking advantage of its powerful expressiveness.

The artist plays with the meaning of this representation, transforming it into a kind of underdeveloped hominid beginning to ponder things. The element on the right side of the work symbolizes a tool and also the mastery of agriculture, two key aspects of human evolution that still seem distant for this figure.
A kind of evolutionary eye (in the style of 2001: A Space Odyssey) appears in the upper left.

In some ways, the work is a kind of allegory about human evolution and its meaning.

Macro-schematic art is found only in the northern part of the province of Alicante. It was created by the first Neolithic groups who arrived in these lands in the mid-6th millennium BC, coming from the Near East. These groups traveled across the Mediterranean in canoes, always staying close to the coast, carrying wheat and barley seeds, sheep, and goats.

The chosen locations are rock shelters, clearly visible and bathed in sunlight. These areas were not habitation sites but rather “sanctuaries” frequented by local populations for religious celebrations, rites of passage, alliances, and other rituals.
