Individuals from 5,000 years ago, or perhaps from today. Clan warfare has always been present in all civilizations, and also in nature. Chimpanzees, for example, fight to the death with neighboring clans to protect and/or expand their territory. We haven't evolved much in this respect.
The artwork is built around two human figures in a warrior's stance, or perhaps performing some kind of ritual. It evokes both the past and the future.
