A painting created through free improvisation. Action painting with John Frusciante's song "Before the Beginning" playing on a loop.
This work unfolds slowly and deliberately, at Frusciante's pace. First, different layers of ochre, green, and red are applied, which are then simplified with a neutralizing blue.
The work is ultimately a field notebook of sensations, geographies, fleeting ideas...All caught very on the fly, without rationalizing.
