The work recreates an imaginary landscape with superimposed and out-of-context elements.
It is inspired by the habitat in which Neolithic populations could have developed 8000 years ago in the province of Alicante.

It is a landscape where the sea and the mountains blend together. Fruits, seeds, plants, animals, marine life... all contribute to what was important to these early Neolithic people of Alicante, who created remarkable paintings in natural sanctuaries like Pla de Petracos.

Macro-schematic art is found only in the northern part of the province of Alicante. It was created by the first Neolithic groups who arrived in these lands in the mid-6th millennium BC, coming from the Near East. These groups traveled across the Mediterranean in canoes, always staying close to the coast, carrying wheat and barley seeds, sheep, and goats.

The chosen locations are rock shelters, clearly visible and bathed in sunlight. These areas were not habitation sites but rather “sanctuaries” frequented by local populations for religious celebrations, rites of passage, alliances, and other rituals.
