On a hot summer afternoon, my daughters Aitana and Claudia (10 and 11 years old) began to draw on a scrap of canvas I'd forgotten about in my studio. With music playing, they danced as they started sketching a landscape, their garden. After a while, they put down their paints and stopped everything because, obviously, in summer there are better things to do. A few days later, I noticed the canvas and decided to work on it. Same music, no goals, no left-brain distraction, I continued creating Aitana and Claudia's garden. Colors, shapes, nature... all began to appear. Everything out of place, unfinished drawings that intermingle, ideas that flow and are not filtered, are captured, erased and reconstructed.
The music and sounds of the studio always keep me lost in thought...
