A painting created through free improvisation. Action painting with music by John Frusciante.
This large-scale work was developed using multiple layers, initially very diluted and later more defined. It unfolds as a gestural and textural painting with a great complexity of stains and marks that are eventually simplified to reach the final result.
The creative process for this work stretched over several weeks, building a universe that, in some ways, reminds us of Native American culture: its rituals, its respect for and connection with Nature, its symbols, and the transformative process we undergo throughout life.
The work gradually acquired its character and meaning in a way very similar to the process that the character played by Richard Harris undergoes in the film "A Man Called Horse".
