The painting was created using free improvisation with music by REM (especially the song "Losing my Religion" which plays on a loop in the final part of the creation of the work and which ends up giving the work its title).
A story of the past and the present. The unknown, that which slips through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual.
We think we're gods, but we're just monkeys who've gotten ahead.
Gestural, intuitive painting that lets things happen and relies on what emerges. Taking advantage of the unexpected and accepting the consequences.
The need to tell stories, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always both modern and ancient.
Nothing matters much... Working with a lost look in my eyes...
The artworks are shipped unframed, just the canvas, which is protected with special paper and rolled inside a rigid tube. This is the safest way to ship artwork anywhere in the world.
